Red Hot Jazz Line-up at The Living Room


Enjoy memorable evenings of red hot live jazz at The Living Room with outstanding performances from some of the finest international musicians including The Randy Cannon Group, pianist Joshua Lebofsky, and Koh Mr. Saxman and The Jazz Brothers.

The Randy Cannon Group, featuring the inimitable Randy on piano, Chris Sweeney on drums and Therdsak Wongvichien on bass perform Tuesday – Saturday at 21:15 hours onwards. Described as “a pianist of formidable gifts, and consistently galvanizing rhythmic sensitivity” by jazz critic Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times, Randy Cannon’s performances are nothing short of breathtaking.

Every Sunday from 18:15 – 20:00 hours, pianist Nattikorn Tiabtiam, known to his fans as “Beep” performs two engaging sets of cool jazz. The Living Room is also delighted to welcome its new band, Jazziam. Founded by singer and band leader, Athalie de Koning, Jazziam play timeless jazz standards and funky reinventions of old tunes, and always keep the focus on swing and improvisation. Also performing at Bangkok’s premier live jazz venue in November is Canadian musician Joshua Lebofsky. A truly gifted composer and pianist, Joshua draws inspiration from the four corners of the globe to create a distinctive blend of jazz and world music. Renowned for her extraordinary skill and masterful use of fresh Thai herbs and complex spice blends, Chef Kesinee will draw inspiration from Chinese keys, galangal, holy basil and Thai basil, kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass, and turmeric.

Mazzei Wine Dinner at Rossini’s

The history of the Mazzei family is woven into the rich fabric of Tuscany’s winemaking tradition. New Executive Chef - Chef Luca Cesarini


Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, is delighted to welcome Luca Cesarini as its new Executive Chef. Chef Luca will also be responsible for Rossini’s, an award-winning Italian restaurant.

Chef Luca is a master of authentic Italian cuisine. A graduate of the renowned Italian College for Culinary Arts in Stresa, Italy, he has a wealth of experience working in renowned restaurants around the world.

The naturally gifted and intuitive chef became the Executive Sous Chef at Il Palio restaurant in New York at the age of just 21. It was during this formative period that Chef Luca won a prestigious award at the International Salon Culinaire of Food & Beverage in New York.

In 2001, Chef Luca was part of the pre-opening team at The St. Regis Shanghai, China. As Executive Sous Chef he achieved many professional accomplishments including “Best Italian Restaurant” and “Best Restaurant Venue” for two consecutive years. Over his extraordinary career, Chef Luca and his exceptional Italian cuisine have featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Art Culinaire, and several cookery books. He has also appeared on Sky TV.

Prior to his appointment, Chef Luca was the Executive Chef at Jumeirah Vittaveli in the Maldives, and Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast where under his direction the venue achieved recognition as one of the top 20 Italian restaurants in the USA and the prestigious AAA Five Diamonds Award.

Having worked as Executive Sous Chef at The Sukhothai here in Bangkok from 2004 – 2008, Chef Luca is delighted to be making a welcoming return to Thailand. “Pan-grilled Snow Fish with Potato Espuma, Prosciutto di Parma Flakes, Taggiasche Olives and Gremolata”


Since its doors opened 15 years ago, Rossini’s at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit has enjoyed a reputation as Bangkok’s finest Italian restaurant, garnering a host of prestigious awards in recognition of culinary excellence.  

Inspired by Italy’s rich culinary heritage and infused with contemporary technique, the menu at Rossini’s features many of the country’s finest regional cuisine. The chef’s defining dish is his signature pan-grilled snow fish with potato espuma, prosciutto di Parma flakes, Taggiasche olives and gremolata. With the emphasis on premium quality ingredients, it is a unforgettable dish to which diners are drawn for its impeccable taste and flawless execution. Pan-grilled in extra virgin olive oil until golden, the perfectly seasoned prime fillet of snow fish lies on creamy potato espuma. As a counterpoint to the melt-in-the-mouth fish and the delicate espuma, the chef adds crisp flakes of genuine aged Parma ham from northern Italy for its distinctive aroma, texture and sweet, complex flavors. Prized Taggiasche olives add slightly tart salty notes and an enticing violet color, and finally a garnish of gremolata made with lemon and orange zest and Italian flat leaf parsley completes the dish with refreshing burst of citrus. The Vada Gimlet - A Luxury Collection Cocktail Inspired by Thailand


At Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel Bangkok, you can now discover the pleasures of the Thai-inspired Vada Gimlet, an evocative meeting of East and West that breathes new life into a classic cocktail. 

The original Gimlet has a rich history. A simple blend of gin and Rose’s lime cordial, it was drunk by British naval officers in the 19th century. The drink’s namesake, Rear Admiral Sir Thomas Desmond Gimlette, is said to have added lime juice to gin to mask its bitter taste and to help prevent scurvy, a common illness among sailors of the time caused by a deficiency of Vitamin C.  The venerable cocktail also made an appearance in Raymond Chandler’s 1953 crime noir novel, The Long Goodbye. The book’s protagonist Philip Marlowe narrates the story and recalls a meeting with the character Terry Lennox as he pines for a foreign tradition: We sat in a corner of the bar at Victor's and drank Gimlets. “They don't know how to make them here,” he said. "What they call a Gimlet is just some lime or lemon juice and gin with a dash of sugar and bitters. A real Gimlet is half gin and half Rose's Lime Juice and nothing else. It beats martinis hollow."
