The perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon with

offers a choice of Chef Kesinee’s favorite appetizers. Diners can begin their
memorable lunch with the classic som tam, a delightfully spicy salad of
raw papaya with dried shrimps and peanuts, or the northeast Thai dish, laab
gai, minced chicken salad enriched with chilli, roasted rice powder,
scallions and mint. There is also the delicately flavored gaeng jued look
rog, chicken consommé with egg sausage and vegetables, and tom yam gai,
spicy chicken and mushroom soup with lemongrass and local herbs.
Main course dishes include khao gratiam neau san,
succulent beef tenderloin served with garlic fried rice, phad Thai goong,
stir fried noodles with prawns, lad nah, thick rice noodles stir fried
in light oyster sauce with chicken, pork or beef, and khao pad krapaow,
stir fried chicken, pork or beef with holy basil, a fried egg and jasmine rice.
basil’s special set lunch menu ends with a choice of
tempting desserts; a selection of homemade ice creams or sherbets, and tab
tim krob, chilled water chestnut dumplings in coconut milk.
