Tuck & Patti Charity Concert at The Living Room



For more than three decades, Tuck & Patti have enchanted music lovers around the world with virtuoso musical talents that span jazz, R&B, and crossover recordings. A string of albums includingTears of Joy, Learning to Fly, and A Gift of Lovehave enjoyed international acclaim while their live shows continue to thrill audiences.
In the intimate surroundings of The Living Room, music aficionados will enjoy a rare performance of extraordinary musicianship from the gifted duo. Tuck & Patti’s close friend, the legendary harmonica player, Matthew Kelly, will be in the audience and is expected to take to the stage and delight a packed house with his exceptional playing.
All funds from the concert will go to the Mechai Bamboo School and Children of the Forest. Mechai Bamboo School is a charity established by Khun Mechai Viravaidya, Chairman of the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the Bill and Melinda Gates Award for Global Health, the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, and the Prince Mahidol Award for Public Health. Children of the Forest, a project supported by the Matthew Kelly Family Foundation, is located 19 km from the Thai-Myanmar border in Sangkhlaburi. The project delivers services that are aimed at providing protection and assistance to stateless Karen and Mon mother and children who have been displaced by the Burmese military regime.
The Tuck & Patti Charity Concert is on January 11, 2013 from 21:00 hours onwards.
