In June for four nights only, The Living Room welcomes the world-renowned American bass player, Neil Stubenhaus. At Bangkok’s premier live jazz venue, he will take to the stage on June 20 – 21 and 27 – 28 for intimate and engaging performances with the talented Randy Cannon Group.
A truly exceptional musician, Neil began his professional career with Little Anthony and The Imperials when he was just 17 years old. In 1977, he joined the contemporary jazz-rock band, Blood Sweat & Tears, before going onto tour with the legendary guitarist, Larry Carlton. Since 1979, his resumé reads the “Who’s Who of Rock and Roll”. He has toured or recorded with artists such as Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, BB King, and many others.
At The Living Room, Neil’s astonishing playing will be complemented by the prestigious talents of The Randy Cannon Group, featuring Randy on piano, Chris Sweeney on drums and Therdsak Wongvichien on bass. Described as “a pianist of formidable gifts, and consistently galvanizing rhythmic sensitivity” by jazz critic Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times, Randy Cannon’s performances are nothing short of breathtaking. He has performed live and on TV with stars as diverse as Bob Hope, ten-time Grammy award winner George Benson, jazz harmonica player Toots Thielemans, and saxophonist David Liebman.
Don’t miss Neil Stubenhaus with The Randy Cannon Group for 4 nights only on June 20 – 21 and 27 – 28, 2014.
