From now until the end of September, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, invites you to take part in five important initiatives for the “UNICEF Fund Raising Events 2013”. 100% of the money raised will go to UNICEF to provide much needed funds for underprivileged children across the globe. UNICEF is the world's leading children's charity dedicated to protecting the health, education and rights of children and young people.
“Last year, our events at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit succeeded in raising Baht 1 million for UNICEF. This year, I am confident that with the generous support of our guests we can make an even greater contribution to the “UNICEF Fund Raising Events 2013,” said Mr. Richard Chapman, the hotel’s General Manager. “Our target is Baht 1.5 million, so I urge everyone to please visit the hotel over the next two months and take part in one or more of our activities, knowing that you will be making a positive contribution to an extremely worthy cause.”
Throughout August and September to mark Mother’s Day, during every Sunday Jazzy Brunch, there will be a special auction where guests can bid for stays at luxurious Starwood properties throughout Asia Pacific, including The Westin Tokyo, The St. Regis Singapore, W Hong Kong, Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran, Sheraton Seoul D Cube City, W Retreat & Spa Maldives, Sheraton Saigon, and many more. For those who do not plan to travel overseas, stays at all 17 Starwood hotels in Thailand will also be included in the weekly fund raising auction for UNICEF.
At the Sunday Jazzy Brunch diners can savor delicious gourmet cuisine, swing to live music by an international jazz trio, and help raise funds to ensure that underprivileged children around the world enjoy access to better education and healthcare.
The Sunday Jazzy Brunch is served from 12.00 to 15.00 hours on level 1 of the hotel.
Through August and September, starting from Sunday August 4, 2013, you can make every Sunday truly memorable for your family and also help children in need. Don’t miss the opportunity to make Sunday special for mother on August 11.
In August and September, Rossini’s will hold fund raising wine auctions at the award-winning Italian restaurant’s renowned wine dinners on August 23 and 30 with Michelin star Chef Alfredo Russo, and in September with Chef Paride Noviello. Guests can enjoy memorable evenings dining on authentic Italian cuisine and bidding for outstanding wines in a fun auction, while also making valuable contributions to the “UNICEF Fund Raising Events 2013”.
From August 1 – September 30, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit will host weekly online auctions of second hand items donated by Thailand’s celebrities and actors. The items will be available for online viewing from 21:00 hours on Fridays, and open for silent bids until Monday at 18:00 hours. The winning bids will be announced every Tuesday at 11:00 hours. In September, a highlight of the hotel’s “UNICEF Fund Raising Events 2013” will be the "The Beatles 50th Anniversary" Charity Concert for UNICEF at BarSu. The event will feature music from The Beatles tribute band, The Betters who are generously donating their time and talents for the benefit of the UNICEF appeal. With an outstanding reputation for recreating the original look and sound of the world’s most popular band, The Betters will delight the audience with an unforgettable set of the Fab Four’s most popular numbers. There'll also be music during the intermission performed by female vocalist and guitarist, Aika. The "The Beatles 50th Anniversary" Charity Concert for UNICEF will be held at BarSu from 17:00 – 20:30 hours on September 29, 2013.
Concert tickets are just Baht 1,500 net including 2 standard drinks and delicious finger food. The food will be served from 19:00 hrs onwards.
In addition, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit will make a Baht 100 donation for every membership of The Grande Club sold from July 1 – September 30.
