March 28, 2013, BarSu

bartenders uncork a selection of notable New and Old World wines. Each
exceptional vintage will be complemented by delicious gourmet bites from
BarSu’s open kitchen.
Wine
lovers will be welcomed with an Old World sparkling Veuve
Alban Brut from France accompanied by a
trio of appetizers including seared
tuna with green olive tapenade, brochette
cured ham arancini with avocado gazpachos, and king crab and Granny Smith apple salad. The first New World wine of the evening will be Rhino
Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa served with Normandy ceviche of clam,
scallop, sea bass and shrimp marinated
with lemon juice, red onion, cilantro and green chillies. A Martin’s Vineyard Chardonnay from Australia will follow,
paired with roast veal filled Pansotti with
truffle sauce. Guests will also enjoy Martin’s
Vineyard Cabernet complemented by
Adobo mini wild boar pies flavored with cinnamon bark, and an Old
World Château Les Jours Bordeaux from France served with
finely sliced Rougie duck breasts with gratin
potatoes and Navel orange confit. A delightful dessert of chocolate mousse with peach fricassee paired with Rhino Shiraz from South Africa will
end the memorable evening.
