Rossini’s
award-winning Italian restaurant at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury
Collection Hotel, Bangkok, will host an exceptional Umani Ronchi Wine Dinner on
Saturday, June 29, 2013.
The extraordinary
culinary event will feature a sublime menu created by talented new Chef de
Cuisine, Paride Noviello and fine wines selected by “primoVino by
Rossini’s” partner, BB&B Wines. Guest speaker, Giorgio Pasanisi of
Umani Ronchi, will also be present to introduce the evening’s wines.
Founded in the 1950s by the Bianchi-Bernetti family, the Umani
Ronchi estate encompasses 210 hectares of vineyards in Italy’s Le Marche and
Abruzzo regions. Framed
by glorious hills that meet the waters of the Adriatic Sea, the favorable
climate and soil produce the Umani Ronchi treasures that have won numerous prestigious international wine awards. Guests
at the Umani Ronchi Wine Dinner will be welcomed with sparkling wine and
Chef Paride’s delightful savory bites.
The memorable six-course dinner will start
with seared scallops, caramelized cauliflower purée, and renowned
Taggiasche olives. The delightful dish will be served with Vellodoro Terre di Chieti pecorino IGT 2011, a
fresh and floral wine produced with indigenous Adriatic grape
varieties. The second dish, homemade black ink gnocchetti with clam
ragout, snow peas and lemon zest, will be complemented by Casal di Serra Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classic Superiore 2007, a rich and velvety wine which was awarded “Best Italian White Wine” by Gambero Rosso’s Vini
d’Italia.
Other
highlights of Chef Paride’s beautifully conceived menu will include seared
goose liver with pumpkin espuma and amaretti crumble paired with San Lorenzo Rosso Conero DOC 2010, an
outstanding wine with warm well-rounded tannins and an intensely fruity finish.
Diners
will also enjoy a flavorful venison loin with Jerusalem artichoke confit,
spinach and venison jus reduction served with Cumaro Conero Riserva DOCG
2008, and a divine dessert of white chocolate banoffee,
raspberries and passion fruit sorbet matched with Maximo Marche Bianco
IGT 2010, winner of the Association of Italian
Sommelier’s “5 Grapes Award” for 12 consecutive years. The unforgettable
Umani Ronchi Wine Dinner will end with a selection of delicate and delicious petit
fours served with coffee or tea.
