Rossini’s award-winning Italian restaurant together with BB&B will host an unforgettable Marqués de Riscal Mediterranean Wine Dinner on Tuesday March 5, 2013.
Synonymous with reds from Rioja, Marqués de Riscal is one of the oldest wineries in Spain. Throughout its rich history, the renowned winemaker has been an innovator, creating fine wines which are original, fresh, elegant and engaging. At Rossini’s Marqués de Riscal Mediterranean Wine Dinner, Jose Luis Mugiro from the owning family will be present to provide valuable insight about the exceptional wines.
Enjoy a 5-course gourmet menu, beginning with enticing Mediterranean appetizers served with a complex, grassy, fruit-forward Marqués de Riscal Sauvignon Blanc 2011. The first course will be a delightful caldo verde soup with scallop and chorizo served with Marqués de Riscal Rueda DOC Rueda 2011, an intriguing white made with Spain’s indigenous Verdejo grape.
The first of a trio of venerable reds will be an intense Marqués de Riscal Reserva DOC Rioja 2006 matched with Rossini’s take on a classicpaella. Guest will also enjoy Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva DOC Rioja 2001, a glass-coating opaque purple wine with aromas of incense, Asian spices, violets, and berries paired with roasted Iberico ham with a flavorful mushroom ragu. A highlight of the evening will be the Marqués De Riscal Baron de Chirel DOC Rioja 2005 served with slow cooked lamb shoulder, eggplants and roasted potatoes.
The memorable evening will end on a high note with an exquisite dessert of peaches, yogurt mousse and citrus sherbet accompanied by the sweet Italian wine, Umani Ronchi Maximo.
Don’t miss this sublime culinary experience at 19.30 hrs on Tuesday March 5, 2013, only at Rossini’s.
