Viva Argentina - Argentinean Food Festival at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit

From March 11 - 20, 2011, Executive Sous Chef Romina Paola Romeo and Pastry Chef Diego Arroyuelo from the Sheraton Park Tower in Buenos Aires will create special menus of exceptional Argentinean cuisine complimented by a selection of the country's outstanding New World wines. 
In recent years, Argentina's indigenous food has been strongly influenced by settlers from Spain, Italy and France, resulting in a distinctive cuisine that has become increasingly popular around the world.  The country is also South America's largest wine-producing country and has a well deserved reputation for a huge diversity of outstanding wines.
Exquisite Wine Dinner at Rossini's
A highlight of the Argentinean Food Festival is will be the Argentinean Wine Dinner at Rossini's award-winning restaurant on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 19.00 - 22.30 hours. Chef Romina's inspired menu of exquisite dishes will be complimented by Terrazas de los Andres wines from Mendoza, a region of outstanding terroir regarded as the heart and soul of Argentinean viticulture. The unforgettable opening night will also include a captivating performance of Argentina's famous dance, the tango. The wine dinner is Baht 3,600 per person.
Argentinean Cuisine at the Orchid Café
As part of the Argentinean Food Festival, the Orchid Café will also be hosting a fabulous buffet dinner featuring a selection of Chef Romina's dishes from March 11 - 20, 2011. Irresistible dishes at the buffet will include empanadas salteñas, small pies filled with veal, trucha Patagónica rellena, Patagonian stuffed trout, and pimiento, queso ahumado y huevo, red peppers with smoked cheese and eggs. Chefs at the carving station will be serving pierna de cordero rellena al corte, stuffed lamb leg, and costillar, chopped beef, all served with a choice of fresh salas and tortillas. Desserts to end dining on a sweet note will include flan con dulce de leche y crema, flan with caramel and cream, and pastelitos de batata, sweet potato and quince pies. The irresistible buffet is priced at Baht 1,450 per person.
The Sunday Jazzy Brunch
Chef Romina's delicious cuisine will also feature as part of the Sunday Jazzy Brunch on 13 and 20 March, 2011.
Held across the three award-winning venues of Rossini's, basil, and The Living Room, the Sunday Jazzy Brunch is regarded as the finest dining experience in Bangkok. In addition to the cornucopia of gourmet cuisine, an enticing choice of Argentinean dishes will add to the truly international flavor of the exceptional culinary event. Sparkling live jazz from world-class musicians will also add to the refined ambience and make it a truly memorable day for family and friends. The Sunday Jazzy Brunch is Baht 2,350 per adult, and Baht 1,200 per child.
